Month-End Report, Apr. 2010 Edition

It’s hard to believe that the end of the month is already here. I’m surprised to look back over the past month and realize that I didn’t order anything figure-related this month. Unfortunately, I’ve realized in the past week or so that I have precious little money left in this year’s figure budget, so I won’t be picking up much more for the rest of the year. 😦

Month-End: GSC Canaan on the scale

This month did see a couple open preorders come in. I was particularly looking forward to GSC’s Canaan, although I’ve read some recent comments that there are quality issues with this figure, which is really a shame.

FWIW, I haven’t unboxed my Canaan yet. Since I started figure blogging, I’ve gotten into the habit of not unboxing my new figures until I’m ready to take pictures. As a result, I’ve had a slowly growing pile of unopened figure boxes since the beginning of the year.

I was also looking forward to finally receiving my Clayz Nekomimi Maids figure, which I ordered late last year. Six months of waiting has tempered my initial excitement a little bit and I also know I paid more for this figure than I could have. The maids were an AmiAmi and Etsu Online exclusive and AmiAmi hadn’t gone international when I submitted my order request to Celga. If I had waited a little longer, I could have gotten the figure much cheaper through AmiAmi. 😕
